ABSTRACT

This article aims to describes counseling with reference to learning values of "katoba" ritual, as one of local wisdom ethnic of Muna-Southeast Sulawesi (Indigenous). The meaning, purpose, processions, and expression of "katoba", as a original culture product from Muna society, has transformed, contextualized, and combined with counseling
puposes, in the end has generating indigenous counseling, which in the past 30 years later progress so rapidly. With the principal direction, strategy of BMB3, and implementation
from indignization learning values of "katoba" in counseling settings, is expected to give basic foothold for counselors to understand multicultural counseling in general society
framework, and in particular can applying counseling framework in Muna society (natives).
